Extrusion

Innova Solutions provide a range of filmic, foam, scrim re-enforced and acrylic tapes in both conventional hand rolls and bobbins. Typical applications include cable trunking, leisure, automotive, point of sale and DIY markets.

Our association with the plastic extrusion industry has enabled us to specify the correct product at prototype stage in conjunction with the extruders ultimate customer. We can then work in partnership with the extruder to deliver the correct product format, whether it be hand rolls for short production runs or bobbin spools for longer length, continuous jobs.

Our Nova product range encompasses three specific technologies:

• NovaFoam
• NovaFix
• NovaBond SG

NovaFoam 101 BPL – A 1.1mm thick polyethylene foam tape with solvent acrylic adhesive. Used for a variety of applications including cable trunking and various trim products, the foam allows for any gap filling or uneven surface that the extrusion may be bonded to, along with an element of compensation when bonding dissimilar materials with differential expansion rates. The solvent acrylic adhesive provides superior peel and shear values against competitive technologies, along with UV and temperature resistance in both interior and exterior environments.

NovaFix 24A – A thin, .23mm thick PVC tape coated with a high coatweight of solvent acrylic adhesive. This product has been the bench mark product for many years for trims and profiles within the furniture and allied industries. Our 24A product carries FIRA ( Furniture Industry Research Association ) approval for bonding ih humid conditions where extremes of temperature are present.

NovaFix HP – A thin, clear, .23mm thick polyester tape, coated with a high coatweight of solvent acrylic adhesive, making it suitable for the most demanding applications. Industry standard for such applications as lamination to magnetic materials and ticket tape for retail.

NovaBond SG – Available in .15mm ( SG15 ) .3mm ( SG30 ) and .8mm ( SG80 ) this new innovation in adhesive tapes is the stickiest adhesive known to man, Providing an excellent combination of initial tack, high peel strength and affinity to bond to low surface energy substrates, we have modified the adhesive structure to add incredible shear resistance and ability to withstand both water and plasticizers. The highly cross liked rubber molecules and the introduction of a tough polyester scrim exhibits superb internal cohesion to produce a product that will bond virtually anything including heavily plasticised PVC, primed timber, concrete and stone.
